The brain behind the creation of Necessary Generation is Nduwimana Jean Paul; an artist, philanthropist and entrepreneur. He got this idea in 2008 and since then started serving his community starting from street children from his neighborhood who most of them were the fans of his music. The founder and his colleagues recognized the need for youth to play a greater role in the development of their own communities and founded the organization to assist marginalized and disenfranchised youth. With its youth-inclusive approach and emphasis on empowering youth to create and sustain their own solutions, NeGe is leading the way in youth development in Rwanda.
